Details:
Faint aurora accompanied by airglow could be seen in the dark skies of Eastern Codington County, South Dakota just before midnight on July 8th. My eyes could not see the color the camera sensor picked up, but I could see the ghostly glow from each phenomena with the naked eye. Also, the Andromeda Galaxy made an appearance just to the right of the church steeple.
