I have always wanted to see noctilucent clouds and finally in churchill Manitoba i saw them at the same time as the aurora. They got brighter and brighter as we approached dawn. A fantastic sight.

Fantastic shots, Phil! Was this display on the 5/6 or the 6/7?

Hi, i think this was at f20. I was having a problem with my wide lens, it wouldnt focus on infinity at low f stop, so I turned the f stop to very high and then walked up the iso to 8,000.

Hi again Phil, thanks for the info. Oops, I was asking about the date of the display, Aug 5/6 or 6/7? Either way, it looks like it was the middle of the night as twilight is due north, you can tell cause the Pointer Stars of the Big Dipper are clearly pointing straight up!!!
