Details:
After a strong cold front our sky cleared and I had to visit my favourite dark sky location among the nearby hills.
The bands of the airglow were visible as the darkness arrived and became more and more intense! The bands were very easily visible for the naked eye, although their hue remained hidden. For a layman the bands would have looked like a layer of thin clouds...
This was once in a lifetime airglow in the middle of the light polluted Europe.
