Andras Pinter took fotos of the airglow after nightfall 02.12.in Hungary. Maybe the airglow-area was really huge and we were able to see the same in North Germany:
I took some pictures at the Baltic Sea close to Kiel, North Germany.
Maybe it was the same event...

Airglow is really covering huge areas, but it needs dark sky and good observer to notice. :) I think where weather permitted it was visible that night, but weather was not so fine everywhere...
