Details:
As forecasted by Spaceweather a high speed coronal wind started to hit earth today. Already at 7pm UTC+1 I could see auroras dancing over Tromsø, Norway.

After driving 1hour, with temps variying from -10C (tromsø) to -27C I stopped by a river/lake. A great place for reflections. Just in time to capture the strong auroras which were dancing and made frustration grow as I was sitting in the car. What a fantastic display. After 1-2 sub-storms the display subsided and nothing more was visible tonight, proabably due to an unfavourable IMF/Bz.

Still so happy I got to witness and capture this.

More chances tomorrow.

Shot with Sony A7R Mark II + 14mm wide angle lens.
