The solar wind continues to blow this weekend! This gave us again beautiful Auroras up here in Finnish Lapland.

The show started around 5PM with the usual green band above the northern horizon (not pictured here). The band grew larger and higher really quickly to give us before 6PM a first great Aurora outburst!

Following this the Aurora came and went for the rest of the evening, and still glows in the sky as I write these lines around 11:30PM. I am at the same time keeping an eye on the sky and ready to run outside if more action happens!

There is one disappointment with my photos though. The night before, a very strong wind blew for hours over Lapland, which resulted in all the snow falling off the trees. So gone the winter wonderland effect on the pictures! Hoping for more snowfall soon!
