Just be glad it missed us by a Million miles! It was Closest approach of this asteroid in 400 years, it is the size of the Rock of Gibraltar, missing us about 4.6 times the distance from Earth to the moon. I captured the 11th Mag. Near Earth Asteroid 2014 J025 as it did its flyby last night. Also caught some interesting rotation and motion of the Asteroid in these stacked still time lapses images. Also you can see a Faint 13th magnitude IC galaxy in the FOV as well. NASA said you would need an 8 inch scope to see the asteroid, I saw it visually & captured it with my 6 Newt. scope, from my backyard in Dayton, Ohio.
There are a couple of gaps in the track near center due to small puffy clouds floating through at the time. 04-20-2017 from 07:25 to 07:48 U.T.
