This is not a circumhorizontal arc, even not an ice crystal halo at all! However, its a great telelens image of a diffraction corona close to the sun containing the typical oil patch colours. This corona is round in its complete appearance, but here only fragments are in the pictures. For a real circumhorizontal arc go to http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/cha2.htm
