Its been very exciting observing and photographing this huge active sunspot area since it appeared on the eastern limb of the Sun on the 6th July, but it’s nearly time to say goodbye...perhaps tomorrow there will be some more surprises, as it rotates to the western limb…

This is just a single image taken before the sky clouded over with a Canon 70D camera and a Canon 100-400 mm lens @ 400mm, with a 2x converter attached. Camera lens had a glass solar filter attached for safe viewing of the Sun. Exposure time was 1/500th second and ISO 400.
