I saw my last solar eclipse October 23, 2014... it was a partial - a small sun bite, visible late in the day as the sun slipped into Lake Erie. I never got around to processing the images until today. The sun that day was a very busy place - with massive active region 2192 taking center stage. We expect a much quieter sun to greet the moon on August 21st. The colorized version is an inverted interpretation, prepared from the monochrome data shown in the second photo. Happy eclipse trails to all!
