I thought the flare was never going to hit as the night started off moderate and then died off. I was falling asleep in front of the computer when I saw that good old southern band of lights on the webcam. Southern bands almost always mean fantastic lights, and that held true tonight! The aurora danced until sunrise!

Waw! Great pictures. Next year we will come from Holland to Yukon and Alaska in the same period for the Aurora Borealis. The first 3 weeks of September we will drive from Whitehorse to Faibanks and back (with the Dempster Hwy) with a 4 wheel camper. Any tips are most welcome!
