Details:
1st night of the 2nd 4 day tour of the season for Lights Over Lapland. We had some big auroras early on in the night as we hoped for with the enhanced solar wind from the coronal hole and then it went a bit quite for around 2 hours. I dropped the quests off just before midnight and then just as Im about to head off I saw it build back up. Quickly got all my quests back out of bed and then this happened!

Ive seen a lot of auroras in my 4th year of guiding but this was something else!

The metal cables where making a racket, the sled dogs where howling and this huge super fast corona happened above.

The 3 shots uploaded here are taken on high speed continuous at 0.8 of a second exposure time. Gives you an impression on who quickly it was moving.

I dont think the quests minded me getting them out bed!
