Faint visual (but nice photographic) auroras visible from northern Illinois at about 7:40 PM Central Standard time. Auroras included a horizontal green band along the north horizon and rays with green bottoms and reddish upper portions.

Nice. We did not get clear till after 11:30 pm or so. I was ten miles east of Lexington but never saw it.

By 11:30PM the moon was up and was washing out the fairly faint auroras. Havent seen anything tonight, but activity level is lower than yesterday and we have some high clouds reflecting the lights of Madison, WI to the north.
