It is a beautiful phenomenon indeed, although not as large as the real rainbow. And no fire and no rain - on the contrary. This is a display about coldness and ice: a halo phenomenon, consisting of the 22degrees ring around the sun with a faint sun dog at the left side. The solar light rays are refracted in tiny ice crystals in the upper troposphere, so creating that rainbow-like ring of light.
