Comet C/2017 T1 ( Heinze) stacked image from a few photos reveal a bright coma and long tail... captured on the 6th January while the comet was at its brightest ( 8.67 magnitude )

I look forward to the next big Comet, when ever that may come as all comets recently have been hard to capture and not very bright.

Although I must say when you are out trying to find these smaller comets and you finally catch it in your cameras field of view you feel like you have just discovered it.. it really is exciting to find them among the stars.

Location : Donegal Ireland.

Hi Noel, amazing shot from Ireland!
Ive been trying with an 8-inch at f/6.7 but only get a small smudge,
like Mike Olason in Denver
(spaceweathergallery.com/indiv_upload.php?upload_id=141871)
who use a 300mm f/6.
Can you tell us what your equipment is and how many exposures please?
