Details:
This dissipating contrail caught my eye this morning because it lasted for a very long time. When jet exhaust hits extremely cold air it freezes and can take hours to sublimate depending on the amount of moisture in the air. Wind can then spread those ice crystals around causing the contrail to last even longer. It was quite the sight today at sunrise!
