My last single night of Lights Over Lapland aurora guiding done for the season (got two more 4 day tours to go) and what an epic night!

Although the full geomagnetic storm did not hit it certainly looked like it did in Abisko. As it was of the brightest displays Ive seen over the season and Ive photographed a lot of aurora 2017/18.

My guests where saying you can tell its a good night if your guide gets that excited.

So is this the beginning of the Russell-McPherron effect and the weird relationship of the March equinox and auroras?
