Details:
A decent display of the aurora lit up the northern horizon over the baltic sea on sunday night. It was the first such display down here in 2018. I could observe the fastest moving beams Ive ever seen so far, impossible to catch with my camera.
At times the green arc became so bright that I feared the images might be overexposed. However the colors werent visible to the naked eye yet.
Afterwards I found structures pointing to the appearance of STEVE on the very first images I took that evening. Its the first time Ive seen it down here. Ill make another post with the corresponding images.
