Details:
Comet 46P/ Wirtanen is brightening on schedule and should reach naked eye visibility by late November. I estimated it at magnitude 6.7 on 2018 Nov 14.58UT using a pair of 8x40mm binoculars. The steadily increasing coma was 27’ across and should appear >1.5 degrees at closest approach. More information about this comet can be found on my website http://members.westnet.com.au/mmatti/sc.htm
