This is my first REAL attempt at capturing M42/NGC1977. I used Nikon D7000 on regular tripod
80 Lights
60 Darks
40 Flats
Processed is DSS and Photoshop.
This is my second attempt with processing thanks to Nico Caters informative youtube video regarding this subject.

Your picture looks very good for a start. Eventually you might step up to a simple equatorial mount with motor drive.
Each new picture you usually learn something to improve the next.
I like doing simple one shot pictures with some adjustment in contrast, brightness, and sharpness.

I am open to any advice that anyone has. Thank you Orbital1. I do not want to be post production heavy in the future. This is my first attempt at capturing this. Do you have any suggestions Pipones, to help improve my shots?
