Details:
It was a crystal clear night in northern Wyoming, and I went out with low expectations of seeing the aurora. But at 1:45AM, the northern lights just barely became visible.

Amazing composition. Lake/shore combination across lower half of image looks like something by Milton Avery.
Beautiful capture of subtle auroa too.

And a strong resemblance to Edvard Munch’s Starry Night, in particular the blue of the ice and snow across the surface of the lake. Very nice!
