Comet hunters have busy predawn times recently... We dont really have a favourable weather clouds or fog makes it hard to catch the comets . But NEVER give up, especially when a comet is so stunning beautiful like Lovejoy beside Procyon!
It is really bright, easy to find and good to photograph - even when thin cirrus clouds are present. These thin clouds are capable of forming spectacular aureoles around the brightest objects of our sky and when they appear average comet hunters go home. I didnt, so I could take pics of R1 with the surrounding stars and Jupiters aureoles.
The same thin clouds with the nearby Moon made ISON invisible...
