Dec 11th 2013 will forever be remembered as the most intense light pillar display I have ever observed in lower MI. I have seen at least 2 dozen displays in 20 years but none like this. Temps fell to around 3 degrees and winds went calm and this magical sparkly flakes just fell very gently to the ground creating a tremendous light pillar spectacle.
