Details:
I went for a walk from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. in the most beautiful moonlight – through the forest and across fields. Came home and saw what was going on different webcams. I was aware there was a aurora warning. So I drove around 12:45 a.m. CET again on the Landberg hill near Herzogswalde, which offers a clear view to the north. At 01:07 I was able to catch a fairly "bright" phase of the northern lights. After that, the activity decreased rapidly. But to see clearly... 😉 If it wasn't for the bright moon... However, the red beamers could not be seen with the naked eye. With great effort (also because of the disturbing moonlight), a faint greenish brightening of the aurora oval just above the northern horizon could be guessed...
