Details:
My expectations last night were pretty minimal: the hoped-for CME impact was mostly a clean miss, and our local aurora forecasts were mediocre. But as it was the equinox (when the northern lights seem to come out more often), I decided to watch the skies anyway, and I'm glad I did! Shortly after 10 pm, the sky began to glow and I managed to capture this image of the aurora over my house in southern Iceland.
