I happened to look out the window at about 9:45 pm and thought I saw a glow on the northern horizon, I grabbed my Canon 6D and snapped a photo. YES! The aurora was out. I grabbed my tripod, headlamp, cable release, etc., and ran out into the our yard! I captured the northern lights over our house in Sapphire Village, Montana, USA! Gradually the clouds moved in about 1 am or so.
