Details:
Today the sun continues to show many very interesting features. In the H-alpha wavelength, several active regions can be observed, highlighting AR2978 which contains a large sunspot. We can also see several large filaments, especially the one in the south east with an extension of about 178,000 km. On the southeastern limb, a faint but large prominence is also visible. The sun continues to be very active and has had sunspots on its surface for 95 days in a row. Will this be the first year with sunspots on every day since 2015? We will have to wait to find out. To take this picture I used a Coronado Solarmax II 90mm aperture telescope and a ZWO 183MM camera.
