Description:
Comet C/2017 K2 (PANSTARRS) on June 20, 2022, just as it passed over the open cluster IC 4665 and near the bright 3rd magnitude star Cebalrai (Beta Ophiuchi) on top of a star-studded background at the edge of the Milky Way. The comet with a brightness in magnitude 9 is at 2 A.U. from Earth and approaching to perihelion showing a dust tail more than half a degree in length crossing over the bluish young stars of the cluster.
