Details:
I captured a red sprite above the Pleiades During an incredible thunderstorm I captured a red sprite just above the Pleiades star cluster, as you can see in the first picture. I was super lucky also becouse I had a longer lens pointing at the same direction and I captured the same red sprite also with the longer lens, as you can see in the third picture. With a longer lens many more details of the sprite and the secondary discharges around it are visible. The cherry on the cake: the sprite shape reminded me of the shape of a heart (OK it actually can remind the shape of a ghost...but I like seeing more a heart shape). The picture has been taken close to the French Village of Valensole, but actually the storm and the sprite were over Italy! I came back home super tired of course but no way to sleep, I was and am so excited...what an incredible night! Exif: 1) 35 mm, iso 3200, f 1.4, 6.5 s 2) 135 mm, iso 3200, f 2, 4 s
