Northern Lights along with the Big Dipper above Fisherman’s Island near Charlevoix, Michigan, with a lightning photobomb from a thunderstorm somewhere in the middle of Lake Superior headed towards Canada. I’m still quite amazed that the lightning could be seen from so far away…it must’ve been at least 150 miles away when looking at the radar. What a way to end World Photography Day with a successful night Aurora hunting. Single image shot with Canon R6, Sigma Art 14mm 1.8 DG with R mount adapter, 20 second ss, f/2, ISO 3200, and a cheap tripod.
