Details:
I was expecting to see nothing special as geomagnetic activity had essentially flatlined after days of unrest and the noctilucent cloud season being very close to its end but just as I had begun to make some food to stay warm under the amazing starry northern night sky I saw some faint pillars of aurora in the ongoing midnight twilight (right at the border between nautical and astronomical twilight) and soon after, I also discovered the noctilucent clouds very close to the horizon. In the early morning hours they rose to about 10 degrees altitude showing beautiful albeit delicate ripples one last time for this season, quite possibly.
