Details:
Yesterday, September 12, 2022, I was able to photograph the Chinese Tiangong Space Station passing in front of the Sun.
It was an incredible coincidence that I did not need to travel to observe the transit, as it was visible from my home, located in Figueres (Spain).
Using a small telescope (15 cm aperture) and a conventional mirrorless camera shooting in burst mode (10 images per second) I was able to capture the fleeting passage of the Tiangong in front of the solar disk of only 0.6 seconds.
The image is a combination of the six images where the Tiangong appears (it is slightly visible on the left solar edge).
Despite the poor atmospheric conditions, with high clouds and high turbulence, and the small size of the space station, elements such as modules and solar panels can be seen when enlarging the image.
I have prepared two images, one of which includes an area of interest with the station close to a sunspot group.
