Details:
The beauty of going out to see Aurora is that every single time is different and the excitement is that you don’t know what you will witness. Monday morning wasn’t far from this rule when the “Pink nitrogen fringe” was back. Just after midnight during the second sub-storm of the night the hemispheric power went over 50GW and resuscitated the show, which died off not long time ago. The green band was getting nervous, moving faster and getting hues of yellow, orange and for couple of seconds the strong pink fringe was visible with the naked eye on the bottom of the green band. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen such a strong pink fringe with naked eye probably since the big storm of November 4th last year when the Cannibal CME struck us.
