Here is a one-hour image of Comet 161P/Hartley–IRAS. This comet is currently moving through the constellation Aquarius. Background: Comet 161P/Hartley-IRAS is a periodic Halley-type comet with a medium-length orbital period of roughly 21.5 years. Jointly discovered in November 1983 by astronomer Malcolm Hartley at the Siding Spring Observatory and the Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS), it holds historical distinction as the sixth and final comet detected by the IRAS space telescope. 🔭 Technical Details: Telescope: Sky-Watcher Esprit 120ED Camera: ZWO ASI2600MC Bin1 Mount: Celestron CGX-L pier mounted Capture: 60 x 60 seconds.
