Details:
Came across an autumn leaf on the ground in the woods near my house. Upon closer inspection noticed a spot of early leaf decomposition that strongly resembled a sunspot. An interesting visual comparison to the real thing from today's sun. A friend commented "Patterns are repeated in nature."
