Details:
M24 is not a true open cluster, but a vast star cloud in the Sagittarius arm of our Milky Way — a window through the interstellar dust. Thousands of stars, from old yellow giants to young hot blue giants, with dark nebulae (like Barnard 92) cutting through the star field. The bright concentration in the center is NGC 6603, a true open cluster embedded inside the cloud. Dwarf mini from Rome Italy. Integration 1h 17m 40 shutter 60 gain Astro filter. Processing of the stacked frames: Stellar study, Iris and Photo Shop. A Gif animation was obtained.
