Details:
Moon reaches maximum ecliptic latitude in Taurus this Year. Therefore, it's crossing Pleiades at the northernmost region. Next transits across the star-cluster will occur slightly farther south. The series of transits will end by the beginning of 2028.Next series will start in 2042. The best conditions for observation on October 27/28 are from the west of Europe and the eastern parts of North America. The animation shows progress of occultations as they will be visible from three selected locations - Lisbon (Portugal), Oslo (Norway) and Boston (Massachusetts, US). Yellow circle in the graphic (day and night) indicates the actual position of Sub-Lunar point on Earth.
