Details:
The Moon, just past Last Quarter, transited the northern side of the Beehive Cluster (the open cluster M44 in the constellation Cancer), occulting several 6th-7th magnitude stars along the way.

The bonus photo shows the Moon lined up with other notables along the ecliptic that morning. Some unknown satellite transited the Moon itself during the event.
