Details:
Saturn approaching opposition - 2026. Here is an animation made from 17 individual images (selected from 25 sessions) acquired from July to October 2026. It shows the aspect changes in the rings angle, the brightness change of the rings (as it gets closer they brighten up), the many spokes seen on the left ansa, and some slight contrast evolution in some of the bands. The final images is made after the actual opposition. For this animation I've tried to bring the colors as close as possible for all images. All made with the same equipment except one image which was done with the mono camera for luminance. 355 mm Newtonian, ASI 462MC and 183MM (for one image). Hope to get the downslope sequence also this year.
