Details:
Last night's full Hunter's Moon was beautiful and quite large! I decided to venture into the Catskill mountains to see if I could photograph the moon rising behind Overlook Mountain.
I decided to photograph this moon in particular about 45minutes after it appeared above the horizon because my previous attempts with the moon closer to the horizon produced a moon that was much dimmer. This time, I selected Overlook Mountain as it gave the moon 45 minutes to climb and gain brightness.
The timing coincided with the last light from the setting sun, which can be seen in the beautiful red light along the mountain and the deep, blue-ish shadow along the bottom of the frame.
